I’m a freelance journalist and documentary producer. I’m interested in science reporting that makes you think about the world in new ways; archival images that transport to you other moments in time; and stories that challenge and delight.
I work on public television productions (most recently the PBS special “The Botany of Desire”), and I write and produce for the web. My stories have appeared in the Bay Area pages of The New York Times and San Francisco’s new news outlet, The Bay Citizen.
I recently finished my master’s degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, where I received the Hearst Documentary Award and the The Randy Shilts Memorial Award for Exceptional Reporting.
